Boarding procedure
2 options depending on the airline you’re flying with:
- CARGO Terminal, located on Boulevard Sampiero: for check-in and boarding of passengers on mixed-use cargo ships operated by Corsica Linea and La Méridionale (DSP)
- MARITIME TERMINAL, located on Quai l’Herminier: for passenger boarding on ferries operated by Corsica Ferries and Moby Lines.
Security: Vigipirate plan in force
To access the port facilities, you must present your travel ticket and proof of identity to a security officer.
- If you are moving within the port area and/or outside the port area, you must carry your ticket and ID with you.
- When out and about, please ensure you follow the designated coloured routes and use the pedestrian crossings.
- Luggage must not be left unattended.
Disembarkation procedure
Passengers disembark via a dedicated green pedestrian route, which is secure and must be used to reach the Ferry Terminal or the Freight Terminal.
A shuttle bus is available for passengers on foot outside the ships operated by the Public Service Delegation (DSP).

How to get there: Ajaccio Railway Station roundabout (city centre)
Check-in 2 hours before departure (*):
- Vehicles arriving before the permitted time will be refused entry to the Port. They must not park in front of the barrier at the Port entrance.
- «Accompanying» vehicles are not permitted to enter the port area. Passengers arriving on foot must be dropped off at the Ferry Terminal or the Cargo Terminal to board.
- As the entrance to Ajaccio Commercial Port is located in the city centre, your arrival may be delayed by roadworks, various events or heavy traffic; to ensure a stress-free arrival, we recommend allowing extra time for your journey.
(*) Exception: 2½ hours in the event of a large shipment (Information provided by the shipping company)
Practical information regarding boarding
- Pre-check of your ticket 2 hours prior to departure, carried out by an official of the EPCI de Corse, to access the port and proceed to the shipping company’s control area:
- Follow the port signs to the Shipping Company’s Control Centre
- Do not proceed to the ship without first completing the necessary formalities with the shipping company
- Checking your ticket and ID 2 hours before departure, by a representative of the shipping company, directly at your vehicle
- Parking your vehicle in the pre-boarding area
- Boarding the ship
Procedure landing
Vehicles are unloaded from the ship via a specific route indicated by EPCIC port operations staff as they leave the ship.
No vehicle is permitted to stop on the unloading bays.
Meeting points must be located outside the port area.
Please do not park in front of the car park entrances, which are located at the exit of the Port
People with reduced mobility
Upon arrival, please inform staff at security screening of your disability. CCI staff from Corsica stationed at the port entrances will notify the relevant shipping company so that they can provide appropriate assistance.
To make boarding easier (access to the lift, etc.), please report to the ground handling manager well before boarding begins.
