The Corsican EPCI is responsible for the operation and management of port activities, three car parks and Corsica\u2019s only coach station, prioritising tasks relating to the smooth running of the port and the resulting economic challenges \u2013 by developing appropriate infrastructure programmes, \u2013\u00a0 <\/span>by promoting a policy of multidisciplinary development and promotion,\u00a0 <\/span>\u2013 by ensuring a warm welcome, safety and security through the effective management of visitor flows\u00a0 <\/span>pedestrians, vehicles, freight or cruise buses. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Corsican EPCI has managed the concession for the Commercial Port of Ajaccio since 2 January 1928. The concession was renewed on 1 January 2014. \n
\nThe concessionaire is responsible for managing public land within the concession area. Its responsibilities are as follows: the construction, maintenance, renewal, operation, development and promotion of the structures, land, buildings, facilities, equipment, networks and services necessary for the port\u2019s operation.\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Corsican Public Agency for Trade and Industry is constantly working to improve facilities for passengers and vehicles. To this end, it organises the management of traffic flows for both vehicles and pedestrians.\nTo this end, it is putting in place services, infrastructure and facilities such as: ferry terminals, car parks, a free shuttle bus, an information point, and variable message signs for signage, amongst other things.

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe development of maritime traffic in a way that meets the expectations of all operators, and in particular those of shipping companies.\n
As such, it carries out promotional and communication activities in partnership with all shipping companies, stakeholders in the port community, and professionals in the transport and island tourism sectors. \n
Thanks to their advantageous geographical location, particularly their proximity to the Italian ports in the Gulf of Genoa and Sardinia, the island\u2019s six commercial ports are served by five regular ferry operators and 12 routes to France and Italy, handling over 4 million passengers and 3.7 million tonnes of freight each year.\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
